Of­fi­cers re­cover stolen goods

THREE sus­pects who al­legedly threat­ened the owner and stole goods from a liquor store in Whit­tle­sea were ap­pre­hended by Red Guard re­sponse of­fi­cers, oper­a­tions man­ager Wil­lie Rey­necke said. The stolen goods were re­cov­ered and the sus­pects handed over to the po­lice.

Just af­ter mid­night last Thurs­day re­sponse of­fi­cers on pa­trol in Lady Frere no- ticed five goats be­ing driven by a sus­pi­cious-look­ing per­son who ran away on their ap­proach. It was be­lieved the goats had been stolen and the po­lice were called.

That af­ter­noon they re­sponded to a panic at a store where they ap­pre­hended a sus­pect for theft. The goods were re­cov­ered and the sus­pect handed over.
