THE management and staff of Life Healthcare Private Hospital in Queenstown handed over soccer and hockey kit to Edlelweni Primary School as part of a community involvement project, Sizanani, involving Life Healthcare hospitals in the Border-Kei region.

Schools in communities in the area served by the hospi- tals are ‘adopted’ by the hospitals’ community-involvement committees and funds are used to buy items needed for further education. This year, Life Healthcare has invested R105 000 in seven schools in the region. “We believe in giving back to the communities we serve – especially where children are benefiting on an ongoing basis, said hospital manager Hendrik Swartz. “Our staff work hard to raise funds to add to the school sponsorship and to make it meaningful for the learners.” In 2013, the project donated musical instruments to Edlelweni.

Principal Zukisani Sondlo and the SGB thanked Life Healthcare for their involvement in the school.
