Shots fired at Red Guard officers
RED Guard response officers in Cofimvaba came under fire while responding to a panic button activated at a trading store on Friday.
Operations manager Willie Reynecke said the response officers returned fire and the suspects fled into bushes. No-one was apprehended and the store owner was not hurt.
On the same day, officers apprehended a suspect following the alleged attempted rape of a four-yearold girl on a farm near Queenstown.
The suspect was handed over to the police who indicated that he was allegedly wanted as a suspect in several cases.
Two people, including an injured man, were handed over to the police on Saturday following a fight outside a local liquor store. One of the men had sustained wounds to his head and body.
