Of­fi­cers ap­pre­hend two in street fight

LAST week a per­son in Tylden Street called the Red Guard con­trol room to ask for as­sis­tance as there were peo­ple fight­ing in the street and pelt­ing each other with bricks and en­dan­ger- ing ve­hi­cles and passers-by, op­er­a­tions man­ager Wil­lie Rey­necke told The Rep. Two were ap­pre­hended and handed over to the po­lice.

At 2pm on the same day they re­sponded to a panic alarm from a shop in Lessey­ton where two sus­pects had at­tempted to rob the store. They were ap­pre­hended and handed over.

On Satur­day morn­ing se­cu­rity of­fi­cers at a whole­saler ap­pre­hended a staff mem­ber for theft.

The stolen goods were re­cov­ered and the sus­pect handed over.

Dur­ing the week­end re­sponse of­fi­cers at­tended to 22 panic alarms at liquor premises where they had to re­move pa­trons who were un­der the in­flu­ence of al­co­hol and fight­ing or caus­ing a dis­tur­bance. – Rep Re­porter
