Officers apprehend two in street fight
LAST week a person in Tylden Street called the Red Guard control room to ask for assistance as there were people fighting in the street and pelting each other with bricks and endanger- ing vehicles and passers-by, operations manager Willie Reynecke told The Rep. Two were apprehended and handed over to the police.
At 2pm on the same day they responded to a panic alarm from a shop in Lesseyton where two suspects had attempted to rob the store. They were apprehended and handed over.
On Saturday morning security officers at a wholesaler apprehended a staff member for theft.
The stolen goods were recovered and the suspect handed over.
During the weekend response officers attended to 22 panic alarms at liquor premises where they had to remove patrons who were under the influence of alcohol and fighting or causing a disturbance. – Rep Reporter
