Man falls through power-station roof
RED Guard response officers, attending to a call from the Komani power station, found a dead man who had fallen through the roof of the building while allegedly trying to steal cables, operations manager Willie Reynecke said. The police were called in. Response officers attended to a panic alarm at a Cofimvaba retail store after damage to the roof and ceiling was noted. It seemed the ceiling boards had been cut open but nothing had been taken.
A resident of Wodehouse Street reported the vandalising of property in the area by a worker and the suspect was handed over to the police on Thursday.
Response officers assisted the owners of a financial establishment after a man, armed with a knife, allegedly threatened the staff members. He was apprehended and taken to the charge office.
A Cofimvaba response officer called in about smoke billowing from a store in the town on Friday. The fire was extinguished. – Rep reporter
