Pair nabbed for allegedly tendering fake R200 notes
RED Guard security officers last week apprehended two alleged thieves for robbing a liquor store, within an hour.
The stolen goods were recovered and returned and the pair handed over to police. Later that day, response officers were summoned to another liquor outlet after a panic alarm sounded, but in this instance a flat at the rear of the business had been broken into.
On Tuesday night, the company’s 24hour control room was called by the manager of a sports bar, who asked for assistance as a person was under the influence of alcohol and threatening the staff with violence.
And, on Friday afternoon, security officers at a supermarket apprehended a minor for theft and less than an hour later, they nabbed another who attempted to purchase goods with fake R200 notes. He was handed over to police. Fake notes were also tendered at the same supermarket the following day and that suspect was also handed over, while the security officer at a business in Queendustria, apprehended a staff member who attempted to steal building equipment.
