Owner collapses after business break-in
RED Guard response officers called to attend a break-in at a business premises last Monday found that the boardroom had been broken into and a television set and kettle had been taken.
The owner had collapsed, so they summoned the police and an ambulance, operations manager Willie Reynecke told The Rep.
Response officers reacting to a call in Zeiler Street caught two suspects breaking in. The suspects were dropped at the charge office.
Clients called from a supermarket to report that they had seen a suspect who had previously robbed them, but could not get hold of the police. Response officers apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the police.
Summoned by a panic alert, response officers found a woman had been attacked in the street by two men with sticks and knives. The victim was not seriously injured and the police were called.
Help was requested from a farm and stock theft reported. Three suspects were apprehended by response officers, but they were not sure how many head of cattle had been taken. The suspects were handed over to the police.
