Officers apprehend two, recover stolen goods
LAST Wednesday evening, Red Guard response officers attended to a panic alarm at a store where they apprehended a suspect who had allegedly stolen the owner’s cell phone, operations manager Willie Reinecke told The Rep.
The phone was recovered and the suspect handed over to the police.
On Thursday, a Prince Alfred Street resident phoned the company’s control room to report that two suspects had stolen goods at a house in the same street.
Response officers on patrol noticed the suspects near a local mall and apprehended both and recovered several stolen items.
That afternoon a contractor on a farm at Melton Gardens phoned to ask for assistance with an aggressive trespasser. Response officers apprehended the suspect, who was handed over to the police.
A little later, response officers attended to a panic alarm at a bottle store where they apprehended a suspect who had allegedly stolen shoes from a nearby store. He was apprehended and the shoes recovered.
On Saturday, a store owner called the control room to report that money had been stolen. Response officers viewed the CCTV footage and apprehended a staff member who was handed over to the police.
