Of­fi­cers ap­pre­hend two, re­cover stolen goods

LAST Wed­nes­day evening, Red Guard re­sponse of­fi­cers at­tended to a panic alarm at a store where they ap­pre­hended a sus­pect who had al­legedly stolen the owner’s cell phone, op­er­a­tions man­ager Wil­lie Rei­necke told The Rep.

The phone was re­cov­ered and the sus­pect handed over to the po­lice.

On Thurs­day, a Prince Al­fred Street res­i­dent phoned the com­pany’s con­trol room to re­port that two sus­pects had stolen goods at a house in the same street.

Re­sponse of­fi­cers on pa­trol no­ticed the sus­pects near a lo­cal mall and ap­pre­hended both and re­cov­ered sev­eral stolen items.

That af­ter­noon a con­trac­tor on a farm at Mel­ton Gar­dens phoned to ask for as­sis­tance with an aggressive tres­passer. Re­sponse of­fi­cers ap­pre­hended the sus­pect, who was handed over to the po­lice.

A lit­tle later, re­sponse of­fi­cers at­tended to a panic alarm at a bot­tle store where they ap­pre­hended a sus­pect who had al­legedly stolen shoes from a nearby store. He was ap­pre­hended and the shoes re­cov­ered.

On Saturday, a store owner called the con­trol room to re­port that money had been stolen. Re­sponse of­fi­cers viewed the CCTV footage and ap­pre­hended a staff mem­ber who was handed over to the po­lice.
