Of­fi­cers ap­pre­hend rob­bery sus­pect

RED Guard re­sponse of­fi­cers as­sisted a store man­ager to ap­pre­hend a man who had al­legedly robbed an el­derly woman at an ATM sit­u­ated in the store last week.

Op­er­a­tions man­ager Wil­lie Rey­necke said the sus­pect was handed over to the po­lice.

Re­sponse of­fi­cers at­tend­ing to an alarm in Mlungisi ap­pre­hended one of two sus­pects who had al­legedly bro­ken a win­dow and were try­ing to en­ter the house. He was handed over to the po­lice.

On Satur­day, a re­sponse of­fi­cer no­ticed that the front dis­play win­dow of a cloth­ing store had been bro­ken. It was found that some cloth­ing had been stolen. Re­sponse of­fi­cers fol­low­ing up on in­for­ma­tion that a mo­torist had al­legedly driven off from a lo­cal garage with­out pay­ing, stopped the ve­hi­cle in Mlungisi. The driver was es­corted back to the garage to pay for the fuel.

On Sun­day, thieves broke the front win­dow of an­other store and took sport­ing equip­ment.
