MASSIVE DAGGA HAUL IN KOMANI
MEMBERS of the Komani public order policing unit seized dagga to the value of R1-million in Cathcart Road in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police spokesman Captain Namhla Mdleleni said police stopped a Toyota with a CA registration number while patrolling along the N6 through town. Twenty-six bags of dagga were seized and a 35-year-old man taken into custody.
The suspect was believed to be travelling from Ntabankulu to Cape Town.
A case of possession of dagga was opened. The suspect appeared in the magistrate’s court in Komani on Tuesday.
