Officers come to schoolboy’s rescue
RED Guard response officers managed to assist a schoolboy who was being robbed on the bridge in Livingstone Road in Komani last week.
Operations manager Willie Reynecke said Red Guard received the call at about 3pm. One of two suspects had been apprehended by a member of the public. The stolen items were returned to the boy and the suspect handed over to the police.
A stolen vehicle was recovered in Westbourne and a suspect handed over to the police following swift action by Red Guard last week.
Response officers in Lady Frere, reacting to an alarm at a Lady Frere tavern, apprehended a suspect who was handed over to the police.
Last Wednesday, a man who was allegedly robbing customers at an ATM in Cathcart Road, was apprehended by security officers and handed over to the police. The stolen bank cards of bank patrons were recovered.
A man who had allegedly stolen a television from a local store, was apprehended and the goods returned to the store on Friday.
