Officers apprehend man after brick is thrown at vehicle
ON MONDAY last week, Red Guard response officers on patrol apprehended a person throwing a brick at a supermarket vehicle in Cathcart Road, operations manager Willie Reynecke told The Rep.
The store manager declined to open a case because it appeared that the person was mentally ill and he was released.
On Tuesday morning, response officers apprehended a person in the veld near a tavern who was carrying a microwave oven and a dinner set. As he could not explain where he had obtained the property from, he was taken to the police and arrested for possession of suspected stolen property.
Security officers on duty at a supermarket on Wednesday afternoon, apprehended a suspect for theft. The stolen goods were returned and the suspect was handed over to the police.
On Thursday morning, response officers attended to a panic at a store where they apprehended a suspect who was allegedly threatening the store owner with a knife. The suspect was handed over to police.
In an incident on Sunday response officers apprehended a suspect at a tavern who had allegedly tried to buy liquor with a fake note. He, too, was handed over to the police. – Rep reporter
