Se­cu­rity of­fi­cers in break­through ar­rests

RED Guard re­sponse of­fi­cers in Lady Frere ap­pre­hended a sus­pect in a tav­ern fol­low­ing a break-in last week.

Op­er­a­tions man­ager Wil­lie Rey­necke said the sus­pect was handed over to po­lice.

On Tues­day, re­sponse of­fi­cers re­act­ing to a panic but­ton ac­ti­vated at an­other tav­ern, ap­pre­hended a man who had al­legedly stabbed a woman dur­ing an at­tempted rob­bery. The hand­bag was re­cov­ered and re­turned to the woman and the sus­pect was handed over to the po­lice.

On Friday, se­cu­rity of­fi­cers on duty at a lo­cal cash and carry ap­pre­hended a sus­pect for theft. The goods were re­turned to the store and the sus­pect handed over to the po­lice.

On Sun­day, re­sponse of­fi­cers helped a woman fol­low­ing a sus­pected at­tempted rape near a Ko­mani butch­ery. The sus­pect was ap­pre­hended and handed over to the po­lice. – Rep re­porter
