NO ONE has been arrested in the murder of Mlungisi teen Vuyolwethu Hemeni, 14, whose burnt body was found near the Eskom residential area on August 26.

Hemeni, who lived in Eskom, went missing on August 25. A pupil of Edlelweni Primary School, she did not return home.

Police recently confirmed (“Burnt body belongs to missing teenager – Komani police”) that DNA tests had linked the body to Hemeni.

A task team has since been established to probe the killing, but police spokeswoman Captain Namhla Mdleleni confirmed on Wednesday that no suspect had yet been taken into custody. – Rep reporter
