IT REMAINS unclear when the Ezibeleni post office will reopen its doors for business.

The post office was gutted in December 2015, destroying documents and equipment.

A worker, who declined to be named, said the building was completed three months ago and there was uncertainty as to why it was not open.

Post Office spokesman Martie Gilchrist said an advert had been sent out for the branch manager position.

“We are still busy with the evaluation and vetting process which takes a while to complete, so it is difficult to say when the post office will reopen.”

She apologised for the inconvenience and said it was hoped that it would reopen soon.

WHEN WILL IT OPEN? The Ezibeleni post office remains closed despite the completion of renovations following a fire in 2015
