Swift action halts theft of diesel drums
RESPONSE officers reacting to an alarm, apprehended a man who had allegedly broken into a local business last week, operations manager Willie Reynecke said.
Reynecke said the suspect was released as nothing had been stolen and the owner declined to open a case.
The swift reaction of response officers working in conjunction with security officers at a local business, prevented the theft of drums of diesel and oil last week. No-one was apprehended.
A suspect was handed over to the police and stolen goods recovered after a man tried to flee after allegedly stealing goods from a local store last Wednesday.
Reynecke said a suspect was handed over to the police after allegedly threatening to stab a local store owner last Thursday.
On Saturday, a man who was allegedly under the influence of liquor and causing problems at a local club, was handed over to the police. – Rep reporter
