BRANDY AND CHOCO­LATE EVENING WITH DIS­TELL AND BEY­ERS

Date: Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 19 Time: 6.30-9.30pm Cost: R250 a per­son

Ni­cholas Hold­croft from Dis­tell will teach you how to en­joy the per­fect brandy and you will taste a va­ri­ety of Klip­drift and Van Ryn aged brandies. En­joy a brandy cock­tail on ar­rival. An­gela Day will serve a de­li­cious three-course meal – brandied chicken liver paté with melba toast, beef fil­let with a mush­room brandy sauce, spiced sweet potato wedges and a fresh fat­toush salad, and, for dessert, a deca­dent eggnog cheese­cake.

All cour­ses will be paired with Dis­tell wines.

Bey­ers cho­co­lates will then be paired with a Bisquit co­gnac.

There will be a lucky draw for prizes. We have a few places left so book soon.

Date: Thurs­day, Novem­ber 20 Time: 9am-1pm Cost: R380 a per­son

Join ex­pert baker Maatje Vollmer and learn the art of mak­ing pas­try. You will make short­crust, flaky, hot wa­ter pas­try, choux and more. There will be a fes­tive twist to some of the recipes.
