The Danone Nations Cup – the biggest soccer tournament in the world for kids between 10 and 12 years old – is set to conclude this month with the the World Finals, which starts today in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It is estimated that the Nations Cup has touched the lives of over 30-million people around the world in the past 14 years. The tournament is run under the rules of Fifa and is endorsed by the association. Its aim is to promote children’s long-term well-being and health as well as encouraging these youngsters to believe in their dreams. South Africa will this year be represented by the 2014 Danone Nations Cup champions Siphumelele Primary School from Inanda, Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal and they will compete against 31 national champions from around the globe.
