Fisherman drowns, one missing
THE BODY of a fisherman, 42, was recovered while another man was missing near St Helena Bay in the Western Cape yesterday, the National Sea Rescue Institute said. The NSRI was notified after a boat capsized south of Lientjies Klip, spokesman Craig Lambinon said. Two men were reported missing while a third swam to the shore to raise the alarm. “Police were already on the scene searching for two missing fisherman,” Lambinon said. “According to the survivor, a friend of the skipper, all three men were wearing life jackets.” During shore patrols, the body, believed to be that of the skipper, was found washed up on the beach.
