Daylight saving benefits all

The Star Early Edition - - LETTERS -

COULD you please inform Lynnette Rens (The Star, En Passant, November 20) that daylight saving would benefit the entire country as in summer we sleep through at least one and a half hours of daylight. The country would save an hour’s electricity as we would have to turn on the lights an hour later. Crime would be down as people would be walking home in daylight after work. Most of the countries in the world have daylight saving time in the summer. Reading her letter I don’t think that she understands the concept of daylight saving time.
