Qualification fraud rife
FRAUDULENT qualifications are a problem on the African continent, the South African Qualifications Authority (Saqa) said yesterday.
“Everyone battles fraudulent qualifications, and African countries are also faced with the growing problem,” Saqa chief executive Joe Samuels said.
The authority is holding a twoday seminar in Pretoria, which began yesterday, on qualifications fraud in Africa. The seminar is titled Building Trust: Promoting Genuine Qualifications in Africa Through Effective Verification. – Sapa
