25 years for raping six-year-old

THE ESIKHALENI Regional Court in KwaZulu-Natal has sentenced 51-year-old Ginqi Ngema to 25 years behind bars for raping a six-year-old girl in her homestead in December last year, police said yesterday. Spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Shooz Magudulela said the victim’s grandmother was at the homestead in the Ndaya area when she was alerted that the accused was raping the child in a house. The case was reported to Esikhaleni police and the docket transferred to the Empangeni Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit, Magudulela said.
