Struggling Baroka beef up strikeforce
BOTTOM of the table Baroka FC have boosted their faltering attack by signing both Helder Pelembe and Siphamandla Sangweni for the second half of the Absa Premiership season. Mozambican international Pelembe, 29, has been without a club since being released by Orlando Pirates while Sangweni moves after failing to make the grade at the Buccaneers. Pelembe was on loan at Bloemfontein Celtic last season but played just four times. The 27-year-old Sangweni scored one goal for Baroka last season in the National First Division when on loan from Pirates. He also had a spell at Cape Town All Stars. Sangweni started his career at Black Leopards but has played only 45 minutes of Absa Premiership football. Baroka have managed only 12 goals so far this term, and at the midway point of the season the team are last in the standings with just two wins thus far. They resume their season on February 8 away at Chippa United.
