New boss for Fiat Chrysler

SOUTH Africa’s Fiat Chrysler Au­to­mo­biles (FCA) yes­ter­day an­nounced it had ap­pointed Robin van Rens­burg to suc­ceed Marco Me­lani as its chief ex­ec­u­tive and man­ag­ing di­rec­tor. Me­lani, who was ap­pointed in April 2016, re­turned to Italy to take charge of the mar­ket­ing po­si­tion. FCA is an im­porter of au­to­mo­tive brands such as Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo and Chrysler, in­clud­ing Jeep and Dodge. Van Rens­burg said: “We are look­ing to grow our share of the mar­ket in the seg­ments we com­pete in.”
