CHANCE TO BE MRS SA

The Star Early Edition - - NEWS - STAFF REPORTER

THE SEARCH for a new Mrs South Africa is on.

While Hlengiwe Twala enjoys her reign, the organisers of the event have decided to turn it up a notch by kickstarting the roadshow this weekend.

The pageant, which takes place later this year, will go to Bloemfontein, George, Port Elizabeth, Polokwane, Mbombela, Durban, Cape Town and Joburg to find potential entrants.

Married women between the ages of 25 and 50 are invited to enter, and they will be mentored by the Mrs South Africa team.

Twala will also be part of the team, along with her first princess Olwethu Leshabane, second princess Lilliana Lulli-Marruchi and Mrs Charity Claire Gardiner. This weekend the roadshow heads to Bloemfontein.

Joburg will be its last lap on the weekend of February 24 to 26 at the home of the pageant, Emperors Palace in Kempton Park.

The entrants will go through workshops to help them understand the role they would be expected to play as the next Mrs South Africa.

ROLE MODELS: Mrs South Africa Hlengiwe Twala, second left, will be mentoring this year’s pageant entrants. With her are second princess Lilliana Lulli-Marucchi, left, first princess Olwethu Leshabane and Mrs Charity Claire Gardiner.
