WHEAT for delivery in March dropped 0.6 percent to $4.16 a bushel (R2 102 a ton) on the Chicago Board of Trade yesterday.
Wheat is down 2.6 percent in three days, the most since December 19. Prices are declining “on the back of improved weather forecasts for the US southern Plains,” Wandile Sihlobo and Tinashe Kapuya, economists at Agricultural Business Chamber, said in a report yesterday.
Maize for March delivery declined 0.3 percent to $3.56 a bushel.
Soya beans for delivery in March retreated 0.2 percent to $10.09 a bushel. – Bloomberg
