Developed market economies’ inflation rates to come
THIS coming week investors’ attention will be on the release of various developed market economies inflation rates and retail sales data. The gross domestic product economic growth rate for China will be published on Friday.
Housing sales, manufacturing and industrial production data for various countries will also be released.
On Thursday the European Central Bank will announce its latest interest rate decision.
Tuesday: Stats SA will publish South Africa’s gold mining production and mining production data for November.
Wednesday: Stats SAwill release the inflation rate for December and the retail sales data for November.
Thursday: The Bureau for Economic Research will announce the FNB/BER Consumer Confidence index for the fourth quarter 2016.
Monday: The EU and Russia: Balance of Trade – November.
Tuesday: Germany: Inflation rate – December; UK: Inflation rate – December; EU and Germany: Economic sentiment index – January.
Wednesday: UK: Unemployment rate – November; EU: Inflation rate – December; US: Inflation rate – December.
Thursday: EU: ECB interest rate decision.
