Group fi­nan­cial di­rec­tor to re­tire

SASFIN said yes­ter­day that its group fi­nan­cial di­rec­tor, Ty­rone Soon­dar­jee, was re­tir­ing af­ter a decade with the com­pany. Soon­dar­jee, who joined the group in 2007, would re­tire this year, Sasfin said. This would see him re­tire from all boards and sub­sidiary boards from the end of June, it said. “The board thanks Ty­rone for his in­valu­able con­tri­bu­tion to the Sasfin group and wishes him well in his re­tire­ment.” Sasfin said it in­tended ap­point­ing a suc­ces­sor to Soon­dar­jee and would ad­vise share­hold­ers of this ap­point­ment in due course. Soon­dar­jee has a BCompt (Honours) CTA (Unisa) and is also a CA (SA). Prior to join­ing Sasfin, Soon­dar­jee served Deloitte & Touche in var­i­ous ex­ec­u­tive roles and TNBS Mu­tual Bank as fi­nan­cial di­rec­tor.
