League must redirect its wrath

The Star Early Edition - - LETTERS - John Whitlock

THE ANC Women’s League, experienced economists, have now moved into the psychological field.

I refer here to its comment: “Farmer not showing remorse for psychological trauma of woman in cage”.

Have these very concerned women taken Linda Steenkamp for medical tests and psychological counselling? Could we see both reports? How can one suffer “psychological trauma” if one opted to sit in the back of a bakkie?

Trauma is a condition caused by severe shock. Steenkamp did not seem to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown. What was the farmer supposed to do with the cage?

The ANCWL goes on to say the government must “radically implement land distribution and economic transformation”. What have these two got to do with the woman?

Since 1912, “blacks have overextended (sic) the olive branch to build a rainbow nation”. Really, Meokgo Matuba, 1912?

History must be made compulsory in all schools.

Matuba, just like Malema and other black racists, goes on to threaten whites in that “in the near future victims of racism, with the support of peace-loving citizens (sic) …might lose patience and request (sic) the fanatics of racism to leave the country”.

Will this threat apply to black racists as well who will then have to return to North Africa from whence they came?

Who and what gives the ANCWL the right to dictate who may and may not live in SA? Arrogance in the extreme.

T h e ANCWL should rather direct its wrath and indignation to those committing mob justice, stoning and beating alleged perpetrators to death, the horrendous and brutal farm murders, gruesome accidents involving bakkies and taxis, rapes of small children and the elderly, newborns thrown down pit latrines etcetera.

The league has failed miserably in this regard, and has no right to dictate to others. When is it ever going to do something constructive?

Failed ANCWL has no right to dictate to others
