Star reporting biased

The Star Early Edition - - THE STAR AUCTIONS -

I COULD not but help notice your daily articles with regards to the Palestinian prisoners who were fasting in protest against their prison conditions.

Not once have you mentioned that these prisoners are convicted murderers and terrorists who have been found guilty in court of the most horrific crimes of murdering innocent civilians.

Had these criminals been arrested in any other country in the Middle East, they would have been executed immediately. As it is, there are executions taking place in Gaza and the Palestinian territories practically every day without the accused being brought to court, but your paper seems to ignore all this, nor have I seen any of our ministers and so-called human rights activists fasting for them.

Marwan Barghouti has been found guilty of five coldblooded murders, but your Star builds him up to be an innocent activist. It would be interesting if your newspaper would send a reporter to compare conditions in Israeli jails to South African jails. I accuse The Star of being biased and not printing both sides of the story. Maurice Sackstein Birnam Park
