Mexican reporter killed
INDIGENOUS Mexican radio host Marcela de Jesus Natalia was murdered on Saturday in the southern state of Guerrero.
Jesus Natalia was shot twice by unknown attackers minutes after leaving her 5am to 9am shift at Guerrero Radio and Television, RTG, El Sol de Mexico reported. She was pronounced dead in hospital.
“Our companion speaker Marcela de Jesus was injured,” RTG Director Bismark Villanueva Bracho said.
Jesus Natalia, originally from Xochistlahuaca, was a member of the Democratic Revolution Party. She was the sixth journalist killed this year in Mexico.
