Ser­vice not all it’s cracked up to be

I AM ab­so­lutely flab­ber­gasted with the pa­thetic ser­vice I am re­ceiv­ing from Telkom Mo­bile in Pav­il­ion in Dur­ban.

My Sam­sung Edge, pur­chased last Septem­ber, was left for re­pairs on May 26 for a cracked screen after an at­tempted theft.

I only got an SMS a week later in­form­ing me of a quote of about R6 000 as it was out of war­ranty. No rea­sons were pro­vided so I hounded them with­out suc­cess un­til I got an e-mail. It’s not yet even a year so how can it be out of war­ranty?

No proper rea­sons are be­ing pro­vided by them. Will the war­ranty not cover the crack? PA Ma­haraj
