Refund policy must change
YAZEED Kamaldien’s fight with Cape Crossfit in Newlands has ended happily, after he took the matter before the consumer goods and services ombudsman and was paid out R1 000, instead of the R600 offered.
He wrote: “I’m so glad that I didn’t just take R600 from this guy as the ombud recommends he should pay me back R1 000… He would not have refunded a cent if I had not taken this matter to the ombud and there are others who have likely been in the same situation. This is a victory for the law. This guy needs to adjust his refund policy… He is keeping people’s money when he needs to have a refund policy.
