Toll of Saudi-led strike

SANA’A: Saudi-led coali­tion air strikes killed nine civil­ians, in­clud­ing two women, in the Ser­wah dis­trict of the the cen­tral Ye­meni prov­ince of Marib on Mon­day, lo­cal res­i­dents and of­fi­cials said. An­other four vil­lagers were wounded.

The in­ci­dent was video­taped by the res­i­dents. Ser­wah and sev­eral ad­ja­cent ar­eas are un­der the con­trol of Houthi rebels. This is the lat­est in a se­ries of airstrikes that have hit Ye­meni civil­ians since the war be­gan in March, 2015.

Last week, a to­tal of 25 Ye­meni civil­ians were killed when a Saudiled coali­tion war­plane struck a mar­ket in Ye­men’s north­ern prov­ince of Saada. Xin­hua –
