Clark Gable’s jacket fetches a fortune

-

FORMER movie legend Clark Gable’s leather flight jacket from his World War ll days in the US Army Air Corps, which he joined in 1942 as an aerial gunner and instructor, sold on auction for $14 350.

Gable, known as “The King of Hollywood”, was Adolf Hitler’s favourite actor and he apparently issued instructions that his troops should try to capture him unscathed – so the Fuhrer could meet him.

Gable probably wouldn’t have given a damn about such a gettogether. – Auctions Writer
