THIS week in­vestor’s at­ten­tion will be the re­lease of job data in the US, con­sumer con­fi­dence indices, re­tail num­bers and in­fla­tion rates for var­i­ous de­vel­oped economies. The US and the UK will also pub­lish their fi­nal GDP eco­nomic growth rates for Q1 2017. Do­mes­ti­cally the Re­serve Bank will re­lease money sup­ply and credit fig­ures. StatsSA will pub­lish the lat­est pro­ducer’s price in­fla­tion rate and South Africa’s bal­ance of Trade data.


To­day: Absa will an­nounce its lat­est man­u­fac­tur­ing PMI. The Na­tional As­so­ci­a­tion of Au­to­mo­bile Man­u­fac­tures will re­lease data for to­tal new ve­hi­cle sales in June.

Wed­nes­day, July 5: Stan­dard Bank will re­lease its PMI for June.

Fri­day, July 7: The Re­serve Bank will pub­lish the lat­est (June) level of foreign re­serves.
