Boost for co-operation
EGYPT and Argentina yesterday discussed ways to boost bilateral economic and trade co-operation, as they celebrated the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic ties. Meeting with visiting Argentine vice president Gabriela Michetti, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi highlighted the positive outcome of his meeting with his Argentine counterpart Mauricio Macri last year. Michetti’s visit to Cairo coincides with the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Egypt and Argentina. Sisi also emphasised the importance of activating the economic and commercial committee between the two countries. Egypt seeks to open new export markets to limit growing budget deficit, inflation, and foreign and domestic debts, as it is implementing painful economic reforms.
