No lights for Metrobus clients at Gandhi Square

The Star Early Edition - - METRO WATCH -

JANE THOMPSON WRITES:

There are fluorescent lights under the overhanging roof at the bus ticket office at Gandhi Square, but they are not working.

People buy tickets there in the early morning and late evening and have to queue in the dark in unsafe conditions and have difficulty seeing their money and tickets.

Nearby there are two street lights, at the south end of Joubert Street, which are also not working. Other lights at Gandhi Square are also not working.

Could you please help in getting the situation improved.

The street lights are City Power’s responsibility, but the fluorescent lights in the ticket office are the responsibility of the Johannesburg Property Company.

We advised them and they were there on Wednesday to assess and repair the lights.
