Profile of a serial entrepreneur

DANIEL Schwartzkopff (28) currently serves as commercial director and co-founder of DataProphet, a rapidly growing business that implements powerful machine learning models trained on a dormant company asset: its data. He is a business executive with firm start-up experience and a proven background in the technology sector. He previously founded FSMS, a VC-funded telecoms start-up with more than 400 000 registered users where he first found a passion for using machine learning to discover rich interactions and extract value from massive datasets. In 2014, on the eve of the Fifa World Cup, he founded BetVIP, the world’s first licensed bitcoin only sportsbook and casino, which was subsequently acquired. He is a graduate of the University of Cape Town, where he studied Chemical Engineering. He spends his time between Cape Town and the DataProphet satellite office in San Francisco, and trades crypto currencies in his spare time.
