No movement deal – Fox

The Star Early Edition - - BUSINESS REPORT / INTERNATIONAL -

UK INTERNATIONAL Trade Secretary Liam Fox has said that there was no cabinet agreement on maintaining free movement of people between the EU and the UK for a transitional period after Brexit. The Guardian newspaper reported earlier that the UK government reached a consensus and would include the free movement of people for up to three years after the country’s departure from the EU in the Brexit deal. “I have not been involved in any discussion on that, nor have I signified my agreement to… that,” Fox told The Sunday Times. He said that keeping free movement after Brexit would fall short of a key demand UK citizens had expressed by voting in favour of leaving the EU. – Sputnik
