WHEAT for de­liv­ery in March dropped 0.6 per­cent to $4.16 a bushel (R2 102 a ton) on the Chicago Board of Trade yes­ter­day.

Wheat is down 2.6 per­cent in three days, the most since De­cem­ber 19. Prices are de­clin­ing “on the back of im­proved weather fore­casts for the US south­ern Plains,” Wandile Sihlobo and Ti­nashe Ka­puya, econ­o­mists at Agri­cul­tural Busi­ness Cham­ber, said in a re­port yes­ter­day.

Maize for March de­liv­ery de­clined 0.3 per­cent to $3.56 a bushel.

Soya beans for de­liv­ery in March re­treated 0.2 per­cent to $10.09 a bushel. – Bloomberg
