THE idiom “less is more” was demonstrated beautifully last week when we were invited to celebrate the coming out of Thando Thabethe as the Ciroc Vodka SA brand ambassador.

The event was hosted at a Sandton hotel where we were greeted by blue beam lights placed all around a white marquee which was decorated with white furniture.

Guests were welcomed with Ciroc-infused drinks and finger foods.

Spotted among the crowd was DJ and radio host Miss Cosmo, Clement Maosa from Skeem Saam in hip-hop inspired attire and presenter Sinazo Yolwa.

One guest you could not miss was Kelly Khumalo, who walked in looking like the classy woman she is in a bright yellow ball-gown with feathers attached. The Asine hit-maker was one of the two performers of the night and she left the crowd begging for more. The other was DJ P.H.

The lady of the night, Thando Thabethe, looked flawless in allwhite attire that sparkled.

Having her friend Dineo Moeketsi as the host of the night was special to her, she said. “We’ve shared experiences, ideas, moments of greatness and weakness and I am so glad that she is the one hosting this evening,” she said.

She also spoke about her Ciroc #OnArrival experiences. “This (the experience) is about celebrating each other, inspiring one another. I literally come from nothing, was just a girl, with a dream and with many ideas. I am so happy that Ciroc is here with me to see me realise my dreams,” said the 5FM Drive Time Show host.

The celebrities who came out to play included fellow Ciroc ambassador Cassper Nyovest and Mome and Toll Ass Mo.
