THE wonderful world of wine is for those who crave a bit of magic and plenty of adventure, hence tipplers trickled down to Montecasino this past weekend for South Africa’s leading wine event – The Tops at Spar Wine Show presented by Independent Media.

Wine lovers took their palates on an adventure, sipping a range of the finest wines, including brands such as Infusions Tasting Lab and Thokozani Wines. Quite a few wine labels were also exhibiting. As wine tasting requires cheese and crackers to cleanse the palate, there were snacks aplenty for the visitors walking around and filling up their glasses.

The exhibition aimed to bring together those interested in the lifestyle and etiquette of wine and was an opportunity to taste wines from different regions. The show ended yesterday, but most of the wines are available at Spar.
