SYDNEY — Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott reminded Indonesia yesterday how Australia had helped in the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami, and said Jakarta should reciprocate by sparing the lives of two drug traffickers.

“… We in Australia are always there to help you and we hope that you might reciprocate in this way at this time,” Abbott said on ABC television.

Australia has repeatedly appealed to Indonesia not to execute Australians Andrew Chan ( 31) and Myuran Sukumaran ( 33), the alleged ringleaders of the so- called Bali Nine caught trafficking heroin in 2005.
