Solution at hand for the cat issue

The Witness - Wheels - - OPINION -

I AM sure that the Amber cat problem could be sorted out by the 17 000 catsupporting petitioners contributing towards an e- collar pet containment system to prevent Mr Cat’s wanderings. They are available at about R2 000. Invading male cats can be the most irritating experience, especially if one is allergic to cats. They spray and shed on furnishings and fight with resident cats and steal food.

I know a number of people at the Ambers who have well- behaved cats and my worry is that if this continues, there may be a blanket ban on cats, as there is in most retirement villages. MICHELE DE SOUZA
