Looking for myths, legends

The Witness - Wheels - - INSIGHT -

I AM putting together a collection of myths and legends from across the globe and wondered if your readers could possibly help me in my quest.

I am extremely lucky in that I have first- hand knowledge of many of these “stories of the ancients” due to the fact that I have:

• worked in South Africa and Botswana for many years and was in contact with people whose families had lived there for generations, such as the Zulus, Tswana and Bushmen, etc;

• travelled extensively in America, Europe, Africa and the Far East, and yet again was able to mix with local people, listening to the stories of their lives and upbringing; and

• taught at an international school in London which catered for 40 different nationalities and where the pupils supplied much of the material for my project, as told to them by their grandparents.

I anticipate producing these stories in unique Picture in Your Mind © chapter books for children between the ages of eight and 12 years, where children are encouraged to use their imagination and become illustrators of their own book.

Should your readers think they may be able to help, they can send me their stories at pod@ podigt. com

Thank you for your help in this matter.
