THE KwaZulu- Natal Phil­har­monic Orches­tra starts its 2015 World Sym­phony Se­ries sum­mer sea­son at 7.30 pm to­mor­row in the Dur­ban City Hall.

Amer­i­can- Is­raeli con­duc­tor Daniel Boico will be con­duct­ing the orches­tra as they per­form Bar­ber’s The School for Scan­dal: Over­ture; Rach­mani­noff’s Pi­ano Con­certo No. 2 in C mi­nor; and Tchaikovsky’s Sym­phony No. 1 ( Win­ter Dreams).

The soloist is Is­raeli- born pi­anist Aviram Re­ichart, who won the bronze medal in 1997 in the pres­ti­gious Van Cliburn In­ter­na­tional Pi­ano Com­pe­ti­tion.

He has toured the world per­form­ing with orches­tras on five con­ti­nents.
