SA’S TOP AP­PIES HEAD­ING TO BRAZIL

THREE ap­pren­tices have been se­lected at the re­cent Au­tomechanika Jo­han­nes­burg to rep­re­sent SA in the au­to­mo­tive cat­e­gories of the 2015 World Skills cham­pi­onships in Saõ Paulo, Brazil, in Au­gust

All three ap­pren­tices had won re­gional events and then tough semi-fi­nals which took place over three days at the 2014 SA Au­to­mo­tive Week when two fi­nal­ists were se­lected for each dis­ci­pline.

They were Nte­baleng Seema and Ra­belani Malema (car paint­ing), Bongani Nkosi and Thabiso Mohale (auto body re­pair), Willem Nel and Ja­son dos Santo Maraou (au­to­mo­tive tech­nol­ogy). The fi­nals pre­pared them for the gru­elling World Skills Com­pe­ti­tion.
