“ARRIVING at a race with a clean bike is very important to me, there is also an old saying a clean, well prepared vehicle or bike will always go faster and smoother, we call it free speed,” said multiple cycling champion Ashleigh Moolman Pasio.

“It’s all about marginal gains and believe it or not a choice of chain lubricant can make all the difference,” said the champion cyclist who earns her bread as a chemical engineer.

Pasio is sponsored by Liqui Moly, and said the giant German lubricant company’s attention to detail is impressive, as they offer a choice of lubricants for different weather conditions.

“When racing in wet conditions I like to use the Liqui Moly Bike Chain Oil Wet Lube, it helps my bike run smoothly in the toughest conditions, they certainly did their homework on these products.

“Different chain lubes for different conditions is very clever,” said Ashleigh.

She said cycling at the highest level is all about finding free speed, which is what Liqui Moly’s LM40 multipurpose spray to maintain her wheel bearings, gears and all moving parts on her bicycles assisted her. Butthe tre fixing kit is the handiest.

“Being a female it can be difficult and stressful to fix a flat when training on my own but the Liqui Moly’s Bike Tyre Fix has provided a great solution for me. Within five minutes of getting a puncture I am back on my bike riding and with no hassle at all — this product is a real lifesaver,” said Ashleigh.
