First 2x2 bikes to race the Roof
CHRISTINI SA, sole distributor of Christini AWD motorcycles in SA, has put together a team of talented enduro riders to take on the 2015 Roof of Africa Xtreme enduro from December 2 to December 5.
Similar to 4x4 cars, the front wheel can be engaged on demand to drive both wheels on the bike, but for the most part, the drivers can ride being pushed by the rear wheel only.
Christini SA said the Roof provides the best stage possible to showcase abilities of their bikes’ 2x2 power.
“The Roof of Africa has earned its title as the Mother of Hard Enduros as it is the toughest dirt-biking enduro in Africa, with some 400 competitors competing this year, not to mention the tens of thousands of spectators.
“The race crosses some of the most brutal terrain known to enduro racing. It’s exactly here where the Christini SA team hopes to make use of the allwheel drive system and have the motorcycles literally pull themselves out of sticky situation and over seemingly impossible inclines,” said a media statement.
